Babysitting
Training Course
At Coast2Coast, we offer the Canadian Red Cross Babysitting course. This course has been revised and updated to focus more specifically on caring for younger children regularly and during emergency situations. It is a Red Cross-approved course that emphasizes First Aid and CPR skills for infants and children.
This Babysitting course will cover topics such as managing problematic behaviours, professionally conducting yourself as a babysitter, and learning how to run a small business. Our Babysitting program promises to deepen and enhance the responsibility that older youth feel when caring for younger children. As a leading provider of Canadian Red Cross first aid and CPR training courses, Coast2Coast is proud to provide Youth courses as well. Babysitting is one of our two available Youth programs that we offer, providing special training to the children of our communities.
Why Youth Courses are Important
Youth courses, such as Babysitting, are great for teens to not only learn how to care for young children, but also learn amazing life-saving skills! Each of our Youth programs include basic First Aid and CPR training which is an important skill for people of all ages to learn. We believe that it is never too early to learn these skills as accidents happen to people of all ages. Help your children feel confident while taking care of a younger child. Babysitting courses will contain hands-on practice as well as a lecture to keep them engaged and help them understand how to provide necessary care for a child. Participants will practice feeding, dressing and changing diapers for children/infants and learn how to provide CPR, handle nosebleeds, splinters, breathing emergencies and more!
