Course Information
Our course schedule and prices are different based on the course location. Check out our location page to choose a training facility near you. Once your location is chosen, pick the course type you wish to register for.
You will then be prompted to choose a course level in a dropdown menu. The price will be listed next to each course level.
After you choose a course level and continue to the next page, you will see all available course dates for that training in that specific location.
All of our First Aid and CPR/AED training courses are offered in two formats:
- Traditional All In-Class – This training will be held strictly in-class with a Canadian Red Cross instructor. Students will learn theory and practice hands-on skills.
- Online Blended – This training is divided into an online and in-class portion. The online session will contain the theory and knowledge portion of the course, requiring participants to complete quizzes, games and more. This session must be completed prior to the participant’s in-class date (the date they are registered for). Once students complete the online session, they will attend an in-class portion and practice hands-on skills with one of our highly trained Canadian Red Cross instructors.
CPR and HCP are not the same course, although they do contain some similar elements. CPR/AED courses are available to the general public as they are not high-intensity trainings. This training provides students with the knowledge they need to provide CPR to adults, children and infants depending on the course level they have chosen. Ideal for most workplaces or for general knowledge. HCP, now known as Basic Life Support, is a course designed for healthcare professionals. This four hour course covers high-intensity CPR, trauma, opioid overdose and more for those who work in fast-paced environments such as a hospital. This is an advanced training course that provides participants with a certificate valid for one year.
No, you do not need to register for two separate courses. We offer two courses that include both CPR/AED and First Aid training in one:
- Emergency First Aid & CPR/AED Level C
- Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Level C
After completing either of these trainings, you will receive one certificate that states you have completed both First Aid and CPR/AED which is valid for three years.
We offer many methods of payment when registering for a course with us at Coast2Coast such as:

After Registering for a Course
After registering for an Online Blended or Online Only First Aid & CPR course, you will receive an email within 24 hours from the Canadian Red Cross. If you do not receive this email, please contact us via phone or email.
Once you receive this email, you will be prompted to complete your account on MyRedCross. From there, you may access your training. If you have difficulty completing your profile or starting the online training, check out our How-To video guide.
If you have registered for an Online Blended training course, you must complete the online portion prior to your in-class date (the date you registered for). If you fail to complete the online portion before your in-class date, you may be asked to reschedule your training. If you have trouble accessing your online portion, please contact our office via phone or email.
After registering for a training course, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to the e-book. You may download this e-book to a computer, phone or tablet and refer back to it at any point. If you registered for an Online Blended course, you will have access to the e-book on your MyRedCross account as well.
After completing your training course, you will receive a temporary certificate which is valid for 30 days. Official certificates from the Canadian Red Cross are processed and sent via email 5-10 business days after course completion. If you do not receive your certificate within 10 business days, please contact our office through phone or email.
All Coast2Coast training courses such as CPR/AED, First Aid, Marine Basic First Aid, Basic Life Support, Professional Responder programs, Youth programs and more follow Canadian Red Cross guidelines. Upon successful completion of the training course, students will receive a Canadian Red Cross certificate valid for three years (Basic Life Support – one year validity, Youth programs – never expire). All courses are accepted in the provice of Ontario. For other provinces/territories, please check your workplace or government requirements.
General Course Policies
If your certificate has already expired, you are not eligible for a Recertification course. You are required to enroll in a full training course.
Students may register for one of the following
training formats to receive an official Canadian Red Cross WSIB approved certificate:
- Traditional All In-Class
- Online Blended (Half online, half in-class. Spend less time in the classroom)
Coast2Coast does offer an All-Online course for First Aid and CPR training. Upon completion of the All-Online course, you will receive a Canadian Red Cross certificate that temporarily meets the regulatory requirement. If you wish to receive an official, WSIB approved Canadian Red Cross certificate, you must upgrade your All-Online training and attend an in-class training session within 90 days of completing your online course.
Most Canadian Red Cross First Aid and CPR certificates are valid for three years besides Basic Life Support (valid for one year). Due to specific requirements for certain occupations, you may be asked to renew your certificate once a year.
