This year, Coast2Coast First Aid & Aquatics is thrilled to celebrate a major milestone—our 10th anniversary. Over the past decade, we’ve been dedicated to empowering individuals with the skills needed to respond confidently in emergencies. We’re marking this special occasion with an exciting initiative highlighting our commitment to giving back to the community.
10 Years of Excellence in First Aid and CPR Training
Since beginning in 2014, Coast2Coast has grown into a recognized leader in first aid and CPR training across Canada and beyond. We’ve trained over 100,000 individuals, equipping them with life-saving skills and certifications that are essential in workplaces, schools, and homes. Our courses are WSIB-approved in Ontario and OHS-approved in Alberta, ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations.
“Our mission has always been to equip individuals with the skills they need to respond effectively in emergencies,” said Ashkon Pour-Heidary, Co-Founder and Director of Coast2Coast. “Knowing CPR empowers people to act confidently and potentially save a life when every second counts.”
Giving Back: Free CPR Training for 100 Individuals
To mark this anniversary, we’re excited to announce a special initiative: we are offering 100 free CPR/AED training sessions to individuals from marginalized communities across Ontario and Alberta. This initiative is designed to raise awareness about the importance of CPR and provide access to critical life-saving skills for those who need them the most.
These groups include:
- Indigenous communities
- Black communities
- People supporting individuals with disabilities
- Women
- LGBTQ2S+ individuals
Ashkon says, “With this giveaway, we aim to ensure that lifesaving education reaches those who might not otherwise have access to it.”
Participants in this giveaway can upgrade their training and earn an official workplace-approved CPR certification for a nominal fee of just $15—a steep discount from the regular $75 course price. This is our way of ensuring that essential training is available to all, particularly to those who might face barriers to access.
“Life-threatening emergencies can happen to anyone, anywhere,” said Aryan Sekhavati, Co-Founder and Director of Coast2Coast. “When you know how to perform CPR, you’re not just helping a stranger or loved one—you’re creating a ripple effect of safety and preparedness. This is why we’re so passionate about making this training accessible to everyone.”

The Importance of CPR: A Skill That Saves Lives
CPR is an essential skill that can mean the difference between life and death in critical emergencies. According to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, up to 40,000 cardiac arrests occur outside of hospitals each year in Canada. When CPR is performed promptly, survival rates increase significantly. Unfortunately, many individuals—especially in marginalized communities—don’t have the opportunity to learn this vital skill.
By offering free CPR training, Coast2Coast aims to bridge this gap and ensure that everyone has access to the tools they need to save lives.
Coast2Coast’s Accomplishments Over 10 Years
Over the past 10 years, Coast2Coast First Aid & Aquatics has experienced remarkable growth and achievement. We have expanded our reach and impact across Canada and beyond. We’re proud to reflect on some of our key milestones and accomplishments that have shaped us into the trusted leader in first aid and CPR training we are today.
Train the Next Hero! A Free Safety Training Workshop
One of Coast2Coast’s proudest accomplishments is our FREE Train the Next Hero program, launched in response to the North York van attack, which has been hosted four times since 2018. This initiative empowers individuals to step up in emergencies by providing accessible, high-quality first aid and CPR training, particularly for underserved communities.
Through this program, we’ve equipped hundreds of participants with critical life-saving skills like CPR and AED use, creating everyday heroes in the Greater Toronto Area. By fostering confidence and preparedness, Train the Next Hero ensures that more people are ready to make a difference when it matters most.
Expanding Across Canada: Reaching New Communities
Our journey began in Ontario, but as demand for high-quality first aid and CPR training grew, so did our presence. In 2023, Coast2Coast expanded into Alberta, further solidifying our commitment to ensuring that individuals across Canada have access to the essential skills needed to respond effectively in emergencies.
This expansion to Edmonton and Calgary allowed us to train more individuals and partner with a wider range of businesses, schools, and organizations in Alberta, ensuring compliance with OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) regulations and offering workplace-approved certification.
Industry Recognition and Awards
In 2023, our efforts were acknowledged with several prestigious awards, including:
- Top 3 National Training Provider Award
- Top National First Aid & CPR Provider Award
- Top 3 National Professional Responder Provider Award
- Top 3 Provincial Training Provider Award
These awards reflect our unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality, accessible training to people from all walks of life. We’re incredibly proud to be recognized as leaders in First Aid and CPR training throughout Canada!
Thank You for 10 Incredible Years
As we celebrate this milestone, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to the thousands of individuals and organizations who have trusted Coast2Coast with their first aid and CPR training. We’re proud to have played a role in your life-saving education and look forward to continuing this important work for many years to come.
