First Aid & CPR/AED Training
Along with Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) training, Coast2Coast also offers First Aid and CPR/AED training courses that follow the Canadian Red Cross guidelines. Our two first aid training courses are Emergency First Aid & CPR/AED Level C as well as Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Level C. Each of these courses are offered in the Traditional All In-Class format or the Online Blended format.
Each of our First Aid and CPR/AED courses are WSIB and OHS approved and taught by one of our highly trained Canadian Red Cross instructors. Practice hands-on skills such as wound care, CPR, bandaging and more with top-notch equipment, guaranteed to make you feel confident in your life-saving skills.
Currently, our First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) courses are held separately as of April 2019. First aid training will cover basic to advanced skills as well as CPR, AED and choking for adults, children and infants. Our Basic Life Support course will have some overlap of skills, but will primarily focus on high-intensity CPR, BVM, how to work in a fast-paced environment with a team and more.

Frequently Asked Questions
When an emergency strikes, you may find yourself all of a sudden in a Disaster Film situation and the difference between a happy ending and a tragedy may just depend on your knowledge of CPR, When a person stops breathing as a result of drowning, suffocation, physicals trauma (and the hundred other things that can cause this condition), the ambulance will not make it there in mere minutes, which is often all the time you have to revive your loved one.
- What is CPR and what does it do?
- When is it needed?
- How is CPR performed?
- Do you know what to do when someone needs CPR?
The highest percentage of cardiac arrest cases occur at home and in the workplace, which is no surprise, since people spend most of their time in those two places. No matter how close the nearest hospital is, the ambulance might not arrive in time, & you will need to have someone around who is trained in CPR.
At Coast2Coast, we offer three levels of First Aid training:
- Emergency First Aid & CPR/AED Level C
- Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Level C
- Marine Basic First Aid & CPR/AED Level C
First Aid training is often a requirement for careers or school programs. Depending on your field, you may need to complete a specific course. Confirm with your employer or counsellor regarding this.
