According to Regulation 1101, all workplaces in Ontario covered by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act must provide first aid training to their employees. Emergency First Aid and CPR/AED
The Emergency First Aid and CPR/AED course provides an overview of first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for both the workplace and home. The course covers the necessary skills needed to recognize, prevent, and respond to circulation emergencies for adults (CPR level A), or for adults, children, and infants (CPR level C). Additional topics covered include airway and breathing emergencies, as well as disease transmission prevention. Two levels of courses are provided, they are:
- Emergency First Aid CPR/AED level A ( 6.5 hours teaching time)
- Emergency First Aid CPR/AED level C (8 hours teaching time)
Standard First Aid and CPR/AED
The Standard First Aid and CPR/AED course provides first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who require training for work requirements or those who desire additional knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. The course covers a variety of topics, ranging from basic skills such as circulation and breathing emergencies and prevention of disease transmission to more in-depth skills such as sudden medical emergencies and head and/or spine injuries. Two levels of courses are provided, they are:
- Standard First Aid CPR/AED level A (13 hours teaching time)
- Standard First Aid CPR/AED level C (16 hours teaching time)

Child Care First Aid

Emergency Child Care First Aid
Emergency Child Care First Aid is a one-day course that provides an introduction to first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills, with a particular emphasis on injuries and illnesses that affect children. The course covers the essential skills required to recognize, prevent, and respond to circulation emergencies in babies and children (CPR level B).
Other topics include airway and breathing emergencies, as well as the prevention of disease transmission. The course is designed for those in the early childhood education industry as well as for parents/caregivers.
Standard Child Care First Aid
The comprehensive two-day Standard Child Care First Aid course provides training in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills, with a particular focus on addressing injuries and illnesses that commonly affect children. The course covers a wide range of topics, ranging from basic skills such as CPR level B, circulation emergencies, airway and breathing emergencies, and prevention of disease transmission, to more advanced topics such as sudden medical emergencies and injuries to the head and spine.
This course is ideally suited for individuals in the early childhood education sector or for those who are seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills in responding to emergencies involving infants and children.
This course is only available for PRIVATE training.
Marine First Aid & CPR/AED
Marine First Aid training courses are designed for individuals working in marine environments who require first aid and CPR/AED training. These courses cover a broad range of topics, including head and spine injuries, airway emergencies, environmental emergencies, and more.
Coast2Coast provides the Canadian Red Cross Marine Basic First Aid course, which adheres to all standards and regulations outlined in Transport Publication (TP) 13008 E by Transport Canada. This two-day, 16-hour training course is comprehensive and enables participants to obtain a rating certificate or endorsement, as well as Master or Chief Mate limited certification. Upon completion of the course, participants will be equipped to provide first aid on board a vessel engaged on a near-coastal voyage, class 2, or in sheltered waters.
