Marine Basic First Aid Course Detail
All In-Class Training:
Two Day Course
- Day 1 : 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Day 2 : 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Note : Weekend Courses have late start on the second Day
- Day 2 on Weekends : 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Online Blended Training:
16 hours teaching time
- Online: 7-8 hours
- In-Class: 8 hours

- CPR/AED
- Compression-Only CPR
- Life-threatening External Bleeding
- Life-threatening Internal Bleeding
- Wound Care Head and Spine Injuries
- Bone, Muscle, and Joint Injuries

- Environmental Emergencies
- Poisons
- Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Gowning
Requirements:
100% attendance of the course
75% score on the multiple choice
Certification:
Certificate will be issued, valid for 3 years
What is Marine First Aid?
Marine First Aid training courses are for those who work in marine environments and require first aid and CPR/AED training. These courses will cover a variety of topics ranging from head and spine injuries, airway emergencies, environmental emergencies and more!
Understanding and knowing how to perform first aid and CPR/AED skills is an important aspect of working in the marine or fishing industry. Depending on your job, there may be times where you do not have access to a doctor or hospital for a long period of time but require first aid. Our training courses will not only provide you the skills and knowledge required to assist others with various emergencies, but also ensure your confidence while doing so, keeping you and your co-workers safe.
Marine Basic First Aid
Coast2Coast offers the Canadian Red Cross Marine Basic First Aid course, which meets all the standards and requirements of Transport Canada outlined in Transport publication (TP) 13008 E. This is a comprehensive 16 hours, two day training course which allows the participant to earn a rating certificate or endorsement, Master or Chief Mate limited certification, provide first aid on board a vessel engaged on a near-costal voyage, class 2, or sheltered waters.
