Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Assessment (PEARS) Courses
The Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) training courses are similar to Basic Life Support (BLS) training, but focuses more on infant and child patients suffering from respiratory distress, cardiac arrest and more.
Along with BLS training, PEARS provides healthcare employees life-saving skills needed to improve the outcomes of patient lives. It is an initial response to life-threatening cases which is later followed by more advanced patient management including Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
Healthcare providers who need PEARS training will learn various skills such as high-quality CPR for children and infants, respiratory emergencies and more. Those who need PEARS training include healthcare providers or first responders in schools, health centres, etc.
