Preventing Disease Transmission (PDT) Course

Preventing the spread of disease has always been an important aspect of health and safety. COVID-19 has recently enlightened us on how important and how simple it is to practice ways that prevent infection, helping us feel safe. During this time, many countries have established temporary laws, requiring businesses to follow specific protocol and for their citizens to use personal protective equipment (PPE) if they leave their homes.

The Preventing Disease Transmission (PDT) course has been designed to educate people of all ages on how to prevent infection, don and dof PPE and more. This short course will empower all participants, especially those who work in essential businesses such as grocery stores, pharmacies, service delivery and more.

In-Class Training: 40 minutes teaching time
Online Training: 40 minutes live online learning
Course Content:

How to prevent infection

How to prevent pathogens from entering the body

How diseases are transmitted

The role of immunization

Proper handwashing techniques

How to use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly, including donning and doffing a medical gown, mask, protective eyeswear and gloves

How to safely dispose of PPE
Certification: Certificate will be issued, valid for 3 years

If I could give this 10 stars I would, went on Saturday September 7th to renew my certificate and knowledge and I will definitely be going back to this one. I had the instructor Elhamy for Standard First Aid/CPR level C blended class. He was very knowledgeable and make sure we learned while having fun. I cannot wait to go back in 3 years.
