Psychological First Aid Course
This course is designed for anyone 16 years (recommended) or older who is interested in learning about how psychology plays just as important a role as physical first aiders in our day-to-day lives. It is important for participants to understand these effects so they are able to help themselves or others handle life’s challenges or mental health issues.
We all know someone who is suffering with their mental health whether that is from stress, trauma or grief. What we may not know is how they are coping with their problem. Many of those who are suffering require emotional and psychological support in order to properly heal.
This course focuses on self-care and personal protection so participants can learn to build resiliency against these challenges and maintain a proper balance of their mental, emotional and physical health. Not only will you learn how to help yourself, you will also learn how to identify and prevent stress for others and become a caring, supportive listener.
