At Coast2Coast Swim school, we are looking to teach you or your children all the right techniques to be able to both protect yourself and enjoy swimming in your backyard pool, taking a dip in lake Ontario or the Caribbeans. We are delighted to provide the community of Thornhill with great swimming classes and make sure children are involved in one of the most fun and engaging activities throughout the year. Proper swimming instruction can also increase physical fitness, prevent injuries and be a valuable resource in emergency and rescue situations.
Our Thornhill swimming lessons are taught by experienced instructors that cater to any skill level. Their expertise comes from years of experience teaching all age ranges, with safety being the top priority. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced swimmer, our instructors can help you become a better swimmer.

Mobile Swimming Program!
Coast2Coast values your time which is why we’ve created mobile swimming lessons. By choosing mobile swimming, we send a trained instructor to you. The student will choose the pool, date and time for their swimming lessons. This could be your own personal pool, an apartment pool or family member’s pool. We understand that Greater Toronto Area residents have busy schedules and do not always have access to community pools. Mobile swimming lessons are convenient, making them easy to set up and attend. Who Can Benefit From Swimming?
Everyone can benefit from swimming! Each age group has the opportunity to learn how to swim or improve their current swimming skills. Boost your confidence and prevent or reduce your fear of water by signing up for swimming lessons today. Toddlers and children are encouraged to start swimming at an early age to gain water exposure. They will learn the basics of swimming as well as build confidence around water. Adults who fear water or have not learned how to swim are also encouraged to take swimming lessons. Swimming lessons with a trained instructor will help reduce a fear of water while teaching swim skills.
All of our instructors are highly trained with years of experience. You are guaranteed to feel comfortable and safe while learning how to swim.

In addition, the online courses really did help however it would be better if there were video presentations that would sum up the information as there was way too much to read. Otherwise great experience would definitely recommend Selina as an instructor and coast2coast to get your SFA cirtification.

This is my second time training here, and I am very satisfied. The instructor explained everything clearly, making the key concepts easy to remember. I was able to refine my techniques during hands-on practice and learned a lot. I’m even considering enrolling my daughter so she can be prepared for any unexpected situations in the future. Why Swimming
No exercise or activity offers a total-body workout, is easier on the joints, increases flexibility, and can be enjoyed at any age—from toddlers to seniors—than swimming. While it’s most often associated with summer, swimming is actually a physical activity in which you can participate at any time of the year if an indoor pool is available. It’s like that quote: “I cannot fly, but swimming is the next best thing. The water is my sky.” and here are a few reasons we believe you should know how to:
1.Swimming is one of the easiest and best ways to burn unwanted calories
2.Swimming works your body’s motor coordination. Over two thirds of the body musculature are engaged when you swim, so it improves coordination
3.Swimming can improve your posture. Swimming strengthens joints and improves posture by improving the position of the spinal column.
